Sing We Joyous returns for its 18th year with the usual mix of beautiful music of the season and family-friendly high jinks. This year’s show focuses on the JOY of singing, the joy of  glorious music, the joy of being together with dear friends.

Sing We Joyous is directed and created by William Chin. The exquisite Oriana Singers, one of Chicago’s premier vocal ensembles, will headline the concerts; joining them will be City Voices, the Oak Park-based community chorus, along with the adorable and talented Pro Musica Youth Chorus. Add the Sing We Joyous Orchestra, sprinkle in some guest performers, and audiences are sure to delight in this big-hearted, musical holiday feast.

Hear classics and new favorites – including traditional settings of “Angels We Have Heard on High”  and “Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day,” William Byrd’s “Sing Joyfully,”  Mel Torme’s “The Christmas Song,” a rousing rendition of Three Dog Night’s “Joy to the World,”  and – as always – a zany send-up of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
