City Voices begins our 18th season singing magnificent psalm settings for chorus. Selections range from the Renaissance to the modern day, and include Bach’s athletic motet Lobet den Herrn, Holst’s ethereal Hymns from the Rig Veda, Arvo Pärt’s magisterial De Profundis, Bernstein’s brilliant and beloved Chichester Psalms, Salmo 150 by contemporary Brazilian composer Ernani Aguiar, and more. Accompanied by harp, organ and percussion, City Voices will astound audiences with the beauty of these works.
