Join City Voices for a program of exquisite choral music that explores the power of darkness and light to stir emotion and change. Drawing on both sacred and secular texts, classic works and popular music, the concert will feature an array of composers including Ola Gjeilo and Ēriks Ešenvalds, with a special focus on American artists including Edwin Fissinger, Dolly Parton, and the poet Sara Teasdale. The choir will be joined by a string ensemble, piano, and an ensemble of “singing glasses.”
